Who we are
RISE Values Youth Initiative is a character education organisation dedicated to helping schools form young people of conscience, courage, and contribution.
We work at the intersection of classroom practice, school culture, family engagement, and child protection, because lasting values formation rarely happens in isolation.
Our approach is institutional in standard and relational in method: clear frameworks, practical tools, and partnerships that respect the expertise of educators.
Mission
To support primary and secondary schools in intentionally developing respect, integrity, empathy, responsibility, and service through age-appropriate lessons, teacher development, family engagement, student leadership, and measurable school culture transformation.
Institutional philosophy
Character is not a subject bolted onto the timetable. It is formed through shared language, practised habits, trusted adults, and a school culture that protects every child.
Our story
How the vision for RISE emerged
RISE began from a widely shared observation among educators and parents: many young people are academically capable, yet under-supported in the habits that sustain trust. Honesty under pressure, empathy across difference, and service beyond self rarely receive the same intentional teaching as literacy and numeracy.
That gap called for more than occasional moral talks. It called for an institution: one that schools could implement with excellence, measure with humility, and sustain without depending on any single personality.
RISE Values Youth Initiative was established to answer that call. Today, our programmes, partnerships, and governance are guided by one mandate: help school communities practise character formation as culture, with child protection at the centre.
Why character matters
The societal need that inspired RISE
Academic excellence alone cannot prepare young people for responsible adulthood. Children grow up amid social pressure, digital influence, inequality, and fractured trust. Without intentional character formation, schools risk producing capability without conscience.
Character education strengthens learning communities: classrooms become safer, relationships become fairer, and young people practise contribution rather than performance. Families and communities benefit when home and school share a common language of respect, integrity, empathy, and service.
RISE exists because that need is urgent, and because lasting change requires institutions willing to treat character with seriousness, structure, and care.
